The Superior Figure Skating Club was established in 1955 and originally made its home at the Superior Municipal Ice Arena. In the early 1980's the skating club moved it's home to the Wessman Arena, on the University of Wisconsin-Superior campus. Currently, the Superior Figure Skating Club utilizes the Wessman facility, as well as the Superior Ice Arena, which replaced the Municipal Ice Arena.
The purpose of the Superior Figure Skating Club is to promote and encourage the sport of figure skating. The Club is dedicated to the development of figure skating skills, sportmanship in the arena of competition, and to cultivate a spirit of fraternal feeling among its members, according to the guidelines of the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA).
"The Mission of the Superior Figure Skating Club is to provide a fun, positive atmosphere for competitive and recreational skaters."
